The Halloween Collection by Becca Feeken

Do you like Halloween? I like to go out on the front step with a hot coffee or chocolate and hand out candy. It’s so cool to see what the kiddos come up with for costumes.

Our littles are not so little anymore, but that’s no reason not to celebrate the spooky! That’s why I jumped at the chance to try out a few products from the Halloween Collection from Becca Feeken and Spellbinders. Look at that cute ‘lil cat!

The funny thing is, I don’t really have much Halloween themed craft stuff even though I love the day. I really enjoyed creating this shaker card with the Spooky Boo Die set. The first thing I did was cut everything out in black, then cut the sentiment in white and created a shadow to help it stand out.

I used a few of the Nestabilities Nested Clipped Squares for the windows, then attached a piece of acetate behind the Sterling Dotted Swiss cardstock with Tombow Xtreme adhesive (it’s great for holding acetate).

Once that was done, I flipped over the card front and outlined the windows with foam tape to create shaker spaces. I had these super cute Eye Am Going Batty clay slices from Maker Forte that I used to fill some of the spaces, along with a few green seed beads and orange sequins. Then, I peeled off the release papers and closed up the shaker with the orange patterned background paper.

I used the orange background paper from an old stack that I had squirreled away in my stash. It turns out that I have NO Halloween papers. How does that even happen?! Either way, it worked!

Then. all I had left to do was arrange my bats, cat, webs, and spider over the windows to finish dressing up the card. I used Deluxe Adhesive to hold them on. And I also painted up the bats and spider with a little bit of Wink of Stella in Clear for a sparkly element. It’s hard to see in the picture above, but yeah, that dust on the bats is glittery goodness in real life.

Thank you so much for popping in today! If you like this card, please share the love by pinning it to your Pinterest inspiration board!
