Hello friends! Today I have five project ideas you can make with the All Aboard 2021 Christmas Kit. If you haven’t seen it in the shop yet, it’s an all-inclusive mega kit with tons of papers, embellishments, and adhesives. And when I say tons, I mean over 580 pieces.

It’s the perfect thing to help you add that little extra dash of love to your handmade holiday and save time doing it!

So to show you just how neat this kit is, I came up with five things you can make only using what came in the box and a few tools. Creating this way was a fun challenge since I usually start throwing mixed media into my projects and making life way more complicated than it needs to be. I’m not gonna lie; it was super convenient to have everything I needed in one tidy little kit.

#1: Deep Blue Greeting Card

All the little bits and pieces in the packages are great for building cards. There are tons of floral designs, stamps, banners, tags, and various scene-building die-cuts. I especially like the tags. Here, I layered a sheet of the 6×6 patterned paper over a card blank, then lined up several tags along the left side. I alternated adhering them with foam squares and tape for interest. The gold edging created a nice line on the edge, and I added a few chipboard stars for balance.

#2: Multiple Tag Ornament

Speaking of tags, there are also a dozen different kinds besides the little ones I used in the card above. I have a tag I made below for you, so I thought about other ways to use premade tags. How about an ornament? You need five pieces of the same size, then fold through the middle and adhere them side to side. Easy peasy! Also, you could sandwich several die-cut shapes (some have two each) in the kit together with a loop of twine in the center to create a complete, coordinating set for your tree.

#3: Floral Gift Tag

And here is the gift tag I was talking about! I LOVE the florals in the All Aboard Christmas Kit. There are several loose watercolor ones with gold highlights and two multi-layered poinsettias: one red one I used in the gift box below and the white one on this beautiful tag. I cut this 3” x 4” tag from the white cardstock included in the kit with a paper trimmer. The leaves are layered with a mix of double-sided adhesive and foam squares. To shape the poinsettia, I just pinched the petals with my fingers, giving it a nice 3D look. Add a gem, and voilà!

#4: Folded Gift Box

Now for the layered red poinsettia! I thought this would be just the right topper for a cute little gift box folded out of two sheets for the 6” x 6” patterned paper pad. I have a neat video clip here showing you how to fold the box. Once you make the top, trim your following paper to 5 ¾” x 5 ¾” and repeat the steps to create a bottom piece that fits snugly under the lid. Then you can build your floral decoration on top and fill it with a little gift for a friend. Oh! And this works for any size of square paper; make sure you trim down one piece before folding so they will fit together.

#5: Wreath Greeting Card

And to round out this list of project ideas with the All Aboard 2021 Christmas Kit, I have another greeting card for you. This one is super simple and so elegant-looking! I’m a big fan of white space on a card, so this wreath was just perfect for a centerpiece. I was trying hard not to ink-blend a bit behind it, and the lovely pastel patterned paper was the best solution. The cool thing was one of the chipboard stickers matched the wreath and made a beautiful sentiment when popped up with foam squares. I stuck a die-cut bow underneath the edge of the sticker, then added some glittery gems for sparkle.

I hope you found some fabulous inspiration for creating projects with your All Aboard 2021 Christmas Kit today. Don’t wait until you run out of time to make stuff; the kit is a limited edition, and you can find it in the Spellbinders Shop. Get your holiday cards done early this year!
